Rules of conduct & safety consideration MTB Arena

Bike rules Bergs Gård MTB-arena

  • All cycling is always at your own risk. Choose bike routes based on your own skill level. The guardian is responsible for minors.
  • 112 app. Download SOS alarm’s own app before you head out. In the event of an accident, you can share your location with relatives or the alarm operator. Are you biking by yourself? Notify a relative of the expected end time.
  • Be considerate. Anyone coming from above/behind always has an obligation to give way. Cyclists and hikers may be present on the trails. Slow down when meeting and overtaking. Make the person you want to pass aware that you would like to overtake. Pay special attention where the trails join or cross each other. If someone has had an accident, stop and help.
  • Adjust your speed. Do not maintain a higher speed than you can stop before unforeseen obstacles. Keep in mind that the surface changes depending on the weather.
  • Only stop where you are fully visible. Behind crests, jumps, curves and steeper slopes, it is particularly inappropriate to stop as visibility is limited.
  • Respect the nature. Do not disturb the animals and do not litter. Forest terrain is sensitive, so cycling is only allowed on designated trails.
  • Wearing a helmet it is mandatory. In addition, we recommend a back plate, knee pads and elbow pads.
  • Alcohol and drugs does not belong in the MTB-arena. Alcohol and drugs impair judgement and performance, which increases the risks for everyone in the MTB arena. Persons who are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs will therefore be dismissed.
  • The bike pass is personal. Everyone who cycles must have a valid bike pass or annual pass.
  • The cyclist is responsible for his or her bike. The cyclist is responsible for not harming other people or other facilities with their bike.
  • The cyclist is responsible for knowing the rules of safety and consideration. Follow the signs and directions for cycling. Cycle only on designated trails. Violations of the rules will be prosecuted and Berg’s Gård MTB-arena reserves the right to cancel the bike pass for those who do not follow the rules.
  • First aid and defibrillator (AED). This is available around the clock outside of our farm shop and reception.

An active organic farm

Berg’s Gård is an active organic farm with animals such as sheep, chickens and cows. The animals are outside for the major part of the year and they are not allowed to be visited within their enclosures.

Please do not disturb the farm animals. You are only allowed to walk outside the enclosures and pastures to look at the animals. Keep in mind that loud noises and rapid movements can frighten animals. Guardians are responsible for minors.

In the event that one or more animals are outside a pasture or enclosure, do not approach them and contact staff on site!
